<![CDATA[Rocket Launch @ Campus]]> Wed, 21 Mar 2012 19:55:00 GMT Jump Studios are shattered today after a fantastic launch party at Google's new Campus London venue on Bonhill Street last night. The event organized by advertising and events agency Mother made the best of the new spaces designed by Jump Studios: music by Fred Deakin on the ground floor, a crazy food and cocktail lab by Bompas & Parr and Last Supper in the cafe on the lower ground floor and a ton of cool interactive installations in the office on the first floor by amongst others Lab212, Sennep and our friends at Kin. Highlight of the evening was the longed-for rocket launch - fuelled by the energy captured throughout the evening!

Take a sneak preview of the space here: http://www.campuslondon.com/

More pictures and a full project story to follow in our showcase shortly.

<![CDATA[Through the keyhole...]]> Tue, 29 Mar 2011 11:04:00 GMT Our office extension for internet search, publishing and technology company Forward in Camden is nearing completion. Work on site is getting pretty hectic to get everything ready for the big opening party on Thursday night when staff will have the chance to sneak through the keyhole connecting old and new for the first time. On the other side the surreal journey continues with a giant staircase for meeting and presenting, pool and games rooms mysteriously wrapped in red velvet curtains, a canteen come bar at night and a massive lobster sculpture as the focal point of the new office space.

Enjoy the sneak preview above and watch out for a full press release to follow shortly.

<![CDATA[Crayson]]> Wed, 02 Feb 2011 14:14:00 GMT

The finishing touches are being put to the construction of our retailing space for luxury property agency Crayson.

Based in Westbourne Grove and specialising in homes of distinction (distinctly expensive, looking at it from our humble perspective!).

Working alongside graphic design agency Beam, we have created a strong, distinguished brand that seeks to convey the bespoke, service-led basis of the business offer. The location is off street, and the concept draws upon a prestige domestic environment, using familiar forms and materials but in unexpected ways.

Completion due in three weeks.

<![CDATA[Musicity]]> Wed, 22 Sep 2010 17:45:00 GMT We are launching our first self generated project. Musicity London is an initiative that sits on the intersection of music, architecture and experience.

In collaboration with friend and renowned club and radio DJ Nick Luscombe, we are commissioning seven recording artists to compose original music in response to an aspect of London that inspires them. We have created a smart phone app that will capture the music exclusively at the physical location the track is based on. The idea is to encourage people to engage in the City musically, architecturally and experientially.

<![CDATA[Comic Relief]]> Wed, 04 Aug 2010 17:16:00 GMT Our project for Comic Relief's new offices at "charity towers" in Vauxhall is in its final weeks. Works are progressing quickly now with first splashes of red being painted to a series of boxes which act as a back bone for a large open plan office.

There was a host of activities going on on site today: the new open steel staircase which will connect the first floor with the ground floor was being installed, joiners were working on a series of red lacquered mdf goal posts which will cap of the open ends of the red boxes, the electrical subcontractors were busy installing the general lighting while painters were spraying last bits of mechanical kit which has been mounted visibly under the open ceiling.

The project is due for completion end of the month and will give a new home to the 300 people working for the charity which organizes Red Nose Day and Sport Relief amongst others.

<![CDATA[And the winner is....]]> Fri, 02 Jul 2010 11:52:00 GMT ... Jump Studios!

Last night Jump Studios were out on the town to celebrate their winning entry for the Vitra Panton Anniversary Competition 2010 at the Saatchi Gallery. Charles Saatchi, Terence Conran and Kevin McCloud handpicked their three favourites from more than thirty customized Panton Chairs. Jump Studios were more than delighted to win the first prize against stiff competition from amongst others Fosters + Partners, Sheppard Robson, Scott Brownrigg, Pascall + Watson and Gensler. The chairs were then sold in a public auction with all proceeds going to housing and homeless charity Shelter.

<![CDATA[Panton chair anniversary]]> Thu, 01 Jul 2010 16:08:00 GMT This is our entry for Vitra's celebration of the Panton chair's 50th birthday. Designer Verner Panton spent many years designing a chair that could be moulded from a single piece of plastic, and made his dream a reality with Vitra in 1960. To celebrate 50 years of this classic design, Vitra sent us a chair to customise, with no restrictions.

In response, we decided to emphasise the outline of the iconic form by hollowing out the middle. We then drilled holes around the outer shell and threaded between them with fishing wire.
