Jump is an architectural and design studio that believes real design innovation comes from breaking down barriers between creative disciplines. Established in January 2001, the studio is built on a diverse mix of cultural and creative talent, fuelling an approach that thinks beyond routinely applied solutions.
Jump Studios has won the inaugural Designer of the Year Award at the Blueprint Sessions 2004. The Blueprint Sessions is a new award scheme where the winners are decided by live, impassioned argument in front of the design community, who vote for the winners in a secret ballot. From a long list of nine of Europe's most exciting designers, Jump Studios was short-listed to a final three, each of whom were represented in the live debate by an industry heavyweight. Joe Kerr, Head of Historical and Critical Studies at the Royal College of Art, presented the case for Jump Studios; arguing that it's work over the past year demonstrates a consistent commitment to driving design forward and delivering real innovation and creativity for clients including Nike, Levi Strauss, Philips and Offspring. Jump Studios beat all in the Interiors category; other award winners include Jonathan Ive from Apple for Product Design, Zaha Hadid for Architecture and Made Thought for Graphic Design
